PE & Sport Premium
What is Sport Premium?
It is an extra allocation of ring-fenced funding for all primary schools from the Government introduced in 2013-14 and continued in subsequent years to improve the outcomes for sport and PE for all children. The funding has been extended for the academic year 2022-23.
Principles:
At Leven Valley C of E Primary School, we aim to improve the quality of PE and sports provision for all children by:
- Providing specialist coaching to develop children’s skills, knowledge and understanding;
- Providing high quality professional development opportunities for school staff;
- Ensuring facilities, equipment and resources are of high quality;
- Providing access and opportunity for all children to take part and compete in tournaments and competitions and experience a range of sports and physical activity to promote active lifestyles.
In 2022-23 the allocation is a lump sum of £16000, plus £10 per pupil (Y1-Y6.) This school will receive an estimated £16550.
