Our Vision & Values
Our Vision
‘Everyone on board’for the learning adventure
Our aim:
To provide an all embracing and inspiring education nurturing the whole child
Through our values:
Enhanced by our strong values of self-belief, personal aspiration and consideration for all
Through our specialness:
Taking advantage of the unique opportunities of our Christian character, community and environment
Outcomes:
To prepare and equip the individual child for their continued journey into the world
From time to time, we revisit our vision with the children so they have the opportunity to consider what it means and ensure it remains relevant.
It is always an enlightening process for everyone and a good chance to reflect on what we do, how we do it and what's important to us.
Our Values
Christian values are really important to us here at Leven Valley, they're always on display in the school hall underneath the steam train! Throughout every aspect of school life, we aim to model, discuss, highlight, explain and practice these values in whatever we are doing because we believe they are the basis of strong and meaningful relationships. Good, positive relationships between everyone involved in school ensure children feel safe, secure and confident, so enabling them to flourish and thrive as individuals and achieve their very best in all they do.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers all of its pupils.
As a church school, Leven Valley is a place where loving God and loving our neighbours, is lived out in the daily life of the school community
School Bible Verse
Our school bible verse is 1 Corinthians 12:14
For the body is not one member, but many.
In order to select this bible verse, the junior aged children spent time studying 3 different bible verses and thinking about what they mean in the story where they are found in the bible. They then went on to explore what they mean to us here at Leven Valley School. Here are the 3 bible verses they studied:
John15: 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
1 Corinthians 12:14 “For the body is not one member, but many.”
Ephesians 4:32 32 "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Finally, they shared their thoughts and ideas with the younger children in school, before everyone voted on the final choice.
